Bears, deer, moose--When it's not snowing out, we have to watch for these fellows on the trails. Or so I've been told....so far, after 11 months of running here, the only real danger has been an aggressive bird protecting its nest...

hey ronster, i was "followed" by a baby deer once when i was running, so your photo brought back that memory. it was GREAT. (much better than the time i was chased by a grizzly in bella coola, b.c.)--i tried quickening and slowing my pace accordingly, and the baby deer KEPT UP. afterwards my deerless runs felt lonely. xoxo snow white a.k.a. runtotheriver (on runner's world forums)
